MAYVILLE
Wings over Wisconsin "Mayville Chapter" was formed in 1980 to promote the population of wild winged birds. This chapter is involved in many areas of support for our surrounding community.

The Mayville Chapter is unique in that we have been able to maintain two properties in which we are working to provide wild life habitat.

The Hesprich farm chich we purchased with the help of state funding in 1996 is located a mile east of Mayville on Hwy 28. Over the last several years, we have planted 12,000 trees, planted 100 acres of wild grasses/cover, planted 20+ acres of corn for cover/feed, and have dug 2 ponds with a third in the works. We are cutting several miles of trails for walking that is open to the public on this property.

Our second property, the Bachhuber property, is 96 acres located just west of Mayville bordering CTY V on the west. With the help of the fish and wildlife, we have put in a scrape (pond) along TW and have just planted 20 acres of wild grasses.

The Mayville Board of Directors would like to thank everyone that donated time, energy, and money to the Mayville Chapter of Wings over Wisconsin. Without everyone's support, undertakings like this would not be possible. For more information on what we are, do not hesitate to contact any of the board members. The Board of Directors meet the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 6:30pm at the Wings State Office in downtown Mayville. Everyone is welcome to sit in.
