HISTORY
Since it began in 1995, the WINGS OVER WISCONSIN Northern Skys Chapter has worked toward the goal of restoring and pre-serving wildlife habitat in Oconto and Marinette Counties. Money raised at our banquets has been used to donate bird seed, set up scholarship programs, distribute bird houses, contribute to Coleman Environmental Learning Center, assist local D.N.R. with the purchase of equipment and help local sportsmen clubs.
Ongoing projects include:
* 4H Shooting Sports Club-in-a-Box. In this club they have worked on learning skills for duck hunting, fishing, outdoor survival, safety while hunting, trapping, GPS basics and wildlife management.
* Money for 6-wheel ATV with a pump and tank which will be stationed in Wausaukee. This ATV will be used to accomplish annual burning efforts. These burns are focused to maintain grasslands that benefit waterfowl, turkeys and migratory birds.
